Kenworth Sales Co. has relocated its Salina, UT, dealership from downtown to a new 12-service bay parts and service location at a newly created industrial park near U.S. I-70, the company announced.“The new location at 305 W. Industrial Park Dr. quadruples the size of the Salina dealership adding 20,000-sq.-ft. and three times the number of service bays compared to the previous location,” Kenworth said. “It’s about 2.5 miles south of the previous site and sits on 14 acres on the north side of I-70, a major east-west freeway between Denver, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. The large property, which is 13 acres larger than the previous site, features a large parking lot providing room for truck drivers to park and maneuver their trucks and trailers or drop off after-hours.”Kenworth Sales – Salina features a 25,000-sq.-ft. building with a more than 7,000-sq.-ft. parts department offering a large inventory and delivery throughout Sevier County, according to the company. The service department offers drive-through bays with state-of-the-art equipment and four specially designed bays to provide for liquefied natural gas-powered commercial vehicle repairs.“The local Salina economy is driven by the mining and agricultural industries, which will greatly benefit from this new location,” said Kyle Treadway, president. “Our old downtown location provided no room to grow and made for difficult maneuvering for truck drivers. Drivers will find this new location much more accessible and convenient with its large parking lot and proximity to Exit 56 on I-70.”The Salina location joins 19 others in the Kenworth Sales Company family of dealerships throughout seven western states – Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. This year marks the 70th anniversary for Kenworth Sales Company, according to the company.
