Bridgestone donates former Speedco HQ

Nov. 5, 2015

Charitable donations are nothing new for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, but the tire maker took the concept of good works to a whole new level when it turned over the 19,000-sq.-ft. former Speedco headquarters building in Cayuga, IN, to the Valley Professionals Community Health Center, which plans to turn the facility into a health and social services support center for residents of northern Vermillion County.

“The people of Cayuga and Vermillion County were paramount to the success of Speedco during the early origins of the company,” said Scott Damon, president of Speedco, an indirect subsidiary of Bridgestone. “This community has always supported Speedco, and we are delighted to return the favor today by donating our former headquarters building to two very worthy causes.”
