Pricing for 2016 Nissan Titan XD crew cab revealed

Dec. 24, 2015
Manufacturer suggested retail pricing (MSRP) will range from $40,290 for a base-level 4x2 crew cab unit to $60,520 for a premium trim 4x4 crew cab model, the OEM says.

The brand new 2016 Nissan Titan XD crew cab pickup truck went on sale this week, available in five trim levels and a choice of 4x4 or 4x2 drivetrains – with all of the Titan XD crew cab units equipped with a Cummins 5.0-liter V8 Turbo diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic.

The OEM said the manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2016 Titan XD crew cab will range from $40,290 for a base S-trim level 4x2 model to $60,520 for a “top-of-the-line” Platinum Reserve trim level with 4x4 drivetrain. Destination and handling costs an extra $1,195, the company added.

In all, the Titan XD is being offered in five “grade” or trim levels, Nissan noted: S, SV, SL, Platinum Reserve and the sporty PRO-4X grade with standard off-road features such as 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with all-terrain off-road tires, Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, electronic locking rear differential and skid plates.

The OEM said that the Titan XD Platinum Reserve grade includes heated leather seats, dark chrome exterior trim, two-tone paint, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood insert, 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, along with other premium features.

The launch of the 2016 Titan XD crew cab this week will be followed by other versions of the pickup soon, Nissan added, with the Titan lineup eventually encompassing three cab configurations, two frame sizes, three powertrain offerings and five grade levels. More information on the full lineup will be available at a later date, noted Dan Mohnke, VP-U.S. sales and marketing operations for Nissan North America, in a statement.

"Titan XD takes the tradition of full-size capacity to a whole new level,” he pointed out. ”[The Titan] comes standard with 555 lb.-ft. of [engine] torque, a long list of innovative towing aids such as Around View Monitor and integrated gooseneck trailer hitch, plus advanced safety and security features. There's never been a Titan like this and the diesel-powered Titan XD Crew Cab is only the beginning."
