Bill Todd has been named business development manager, customs house brokerage, for CargoWise edi.

“I am extremely pleased to be a part of the CargoWise edi team,” said Todd. “The company, with its modular-based enterprise system for freight forwarders, has long been recognized as an industry leader in its field, and I plan to put my experience to work immediately by promoting its service offerings at numerous upcoming events.”

Based in the Chicago office, Todd was vp of sales for software provider IES before joining CargoWise edi, an integrated international supply chain logistics management company, in 2003. Todd is a veteran of the freight forwarding industry, specializing in customs house brokerage having worked for Forwardair, Atlantic Container Line and serving as president of German-owned Leschaco.

“We are delighted to have Bill join the CargoWise edi team,” said Gene Gander, vp of sales for CargoWise edi. “His reputation in the freight forwarding industry precedes him; and his strong 17-year background in sales and management within the industry, including his knowledge of U.S. CHB, makes him a valuable addition to the CargoWise edi sales effort as we continue to expand the market base for our ediEnterprise software system.”
