Former DOT Under Secretary returns to law firm

Jeffrey N. Shane, former U.S. Dept. of Transportation (DOT) Under Secretary for Policy, has rejoined Hogan & Hartson LLP in the firm’s Washington D.C. office.

Shane left the firm in 2001 to become Associate Deputy Secretary of Transportation and was appointed DOT’s first Under Secretary for Policy in March 2003. In September 2007, he became the first U.S. citizen since the 1950s to serve as President of the triennial Assembly of the UN International Civil Aviation Organization.

Shane will be a member of the firm’s aviation and surface transportation practice group, where he will focus on regulatory, legislative, transactional, and policy-related matters, Hogan & Hartson said.
