The elimination of manual document indexing and the acceptance of electronic documents, regardless of the format, are two of the new features available in version 10 of McLeod Software’s DocumentPower Enterprise business process management and automation solution.

The latest version includes an expanded set of barcode capabilities and enhancements to the system’s existing automated forms recognition module, which gives companies greater flexibility and accuracy in auto-indexing for all documents that come into the system from any source, McLeod said.

The solution also includes “electronic stapling” of document images and broader compatibility with emails, photos, and other electronic images or documents that come into the system via the web, email, or remote scanners.

A new tracing function expands the ability of the system to manage documents, ensuring that they are correctly indexed and easily found. Also, individual electronic customer bills can be completely tailored on a case-by-case basis for every customer based on their format requirements.
