In addition to his work at YRC, Evans has participated in many truck driving championships throughout his career. He is an active member of his community, volunteering at Convoy of Care and creating the Safety Drive for a Cure event, benefiting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
Along with the overall 2021 Coach of the Year winner, Evans was named the first-place winner in the For-hire Trucking category. Other first-place winners within their respective categories this year include:
