Nussbaum Transportation was recently named a 2016 Best Fleet to Drive For by Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). This annual award, sponsored by TCA and CarriersEdge, is given to North American for-hire trucking companies that provide the best workplace experiences for their drivers. From the valid nominations and the trucking companies’ desire to participate, CarriersEdge surveyed a selection of drivers and interviewed human resources representatives and executives of the fleets about their corporate direction, policies and programs. Nominated fleets were then evaluated against a scoring matrix covering a variety of categories, including total compensation package; health benefits; pension plans; professional development opportunities; fleet safety record; and more.“At Nussbaum, we boast one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry, provide our drivers with strong accessorial packages and achievable bonuses, consistent weekly home time and guarantee our drivers a minimum pay of $1,050 a week,” Dietrich said.The average driver at Nussbaum earns above $62,000 gross per year.
