Continental Tire North America (CTNA) has released the HSL2 (heavy steer long haul) steer tire to the North American market

Continental Tire North America (CTNA) has released the HSL2 (heavy steer long haul) steer tire to the North American market, the first in a series of fuel-efficient tires Continental plans on rolling out.

Available in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 275/80R22.5 and 285/75R24.5 sizes, the HSL2 is designed to extend tire life and increase fuel economy benefits, Continental said. The tire features Continental’s FlexLock tread compound, which promotes even tread wear across the footprint, increasing stability and helping assist in preventing excessive heat build-up in the tire’s shoulder.

The HSL2 also features Continental’s Visual Alignment Indicators (VAI), located on the shoulder ribs, which help users visually identify tire tracking irregularities within the first 5/32” of tire wear, the company said.
