• Epes Transport System acquires Clay Hyder Truck Lines

    Epes Transport System has acquired Clay Hyder Truck Lines. Clay Hyder is a Hickory, NC-based short-haul regional truckload carrier utilizing approximately 85 trailers operated by 17 independent contractors.

    Terms were not disclosed.

    Epes, based in Greensboro, NC, will handle all dispatch functions of the fleet from its Charlotte, NC terminal.

    Epes Transport System is a full service truckload carrier with a fleet of approximately 1,150 power units providing service throughout the eastern half of the U.S. and Southwest.
