Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has announced the Holland FW aluminum fifth wheel is now available as an option on its Freightliner long-haul and heavy-duty models.

Developed through a collaboration between SAF-Holland and Alcoa, the Holland FW fifth wheel improves fuel economy, reduces emissions and hauls heavier payloads at a light weight, DTNA said.

In addition, the fifth wheel also incorporates NoLube technology, which eliminates the need to lube the top plate or locks, reducing maintenance and service costs while offering cleaner and more environmentally-friendly service, the company said.
