Kenworth Truck Co. has expanded into the Class 5 market with the T170 model, a straight truck in a 4X2 configuration featuring a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of up to 19,500 lbs.

A Paccar PX-6 engine rated at 200 hp with 520 ft-lb of torque is among the standard features, in addition to an 8,000 lb. front axle and 11,500 lb. rear axle, hydraulic brakes, low-frame height chassis and 19.5 in. wheels and tires. The single-piece steel bumper is designed to reduce impact damage.

Customers will also benefit by being able to have their T170s serviced at Kenworth dealerships instead of at car dealerships.”
