LAS VEGAS. Meritor Inc. has introduced a new line of drivetrain, axle and suspension parts for all makes that will join its current branded and remanufactured aftermarket product lines.

The first products in the new Meritor AllFit line are three heavy-duty shock absorbers -- a cab shock, a standard shock and a premium adjustable shock.  Replacing the Gabriel brand products formerly distributed by Meritor, the new all-make shocks are designed for Class 6-8 line haul trucks and trailers as well as vocational vehicle applications.

Suspension controls, including ride height controls, load scale, lift axle controls, dump valve units and single axle dump systems, are also now available as part of the Meritor AllFit product line, the company announced during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week.

The new all-makes suspension products join the company's Euclid branded bushings, equalizers, hangers, u-bolts, threaded rods, torque rods, air springs, shock absorbers, urethane components and air valves and repair kits.

Other changes announced by Meritor's aftermarket group included: a rebranding of its remanufactured drivetrain, suspension and brake components as Meritor Green; a new online product catalog and ordering system for its distributor network, and an expedited drivetrain parts program for component rebuilders.

In one other bit of news, Meritor said its PlatinumShield II coating is now available on new lined aftermarket brake shoes.  Designed to prevent rustjacking and corrosion, the coating was previously only offered on the company's remanufactured brake shoes.
