Back in 1987, Special Event Production, Inc. or simple "SEP" starting out by providing a variety of sporting events with electronic scoreboards. In 2003, the firm built its first light emitting diode (LED) video screen "wall" measuring 7 feet high by 23 feet wide, mounted on a 48 foot flatbed trailer. Today the company operates three such trailer-mounted units – each pulled by a Class 8 tractor – that comes equipped with a "whisper watt" generator for independent onsite power. The unique screen can be lifted up over 15 feet and is capable of 360 degree rotation. Fleet Owner caught up with this particular SEP unit as it prepared to help broadcast the 2013 ACC Women's Soccer Championship played back in November in Cary, N.C.
