When U.S. military units get deployed to any number of hotspots around the world, some serious logistics muscle gets involved on the land, on the water, and in the air. The U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps units recently deployed to Eastern Europe, specifically Bulgaria, along with 480 tons of combat equipment - including big and bad M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks - to conduct combat exercises; an effort also being used to deter recent aggressive military moves by the Russians in that region.
