Encompassing 13 acres out of the 92 acre plot it sits upon, the new Nacarato Volvo Trucks dealership is home to 135 employees, with roughly 55 of them service and body shop technicians.

The main lobby of the Nacarato facility is designed to make it feel less like a repair facility and more like a business center.

Nacarato's unique "phone room" employee 5 full-time workers, each of whom is dedicated to a specific region and set of accounts. That's so customer calls don't go to "just anyone," dealership executives explained, but rather to a person they know on a first name basis.

Nacarato keeps $2 million worth of parts inventory in its two-level storage area within the dealership's main 80,000 sq. ft. building, which also houses its main service area.

Nacarato's main 80,000 sq. ft. building contains 28 maintenance service bays staffed by 35 or so technicians. Another 20 technicians staff its body & paint shop, housed in a separate building behind this one.

Nacarato's service writers work out of an office that's right outside the main service area; it's the first door customers enter when bringing in a truck for repairs.

The 45,000 sg. ft. body & paint shop behind Nacarato's main building features 16 bays reserved for a variety of body work, with another two bays housing its painting operation.

Nacarato's painting operation can craft almost any color scheme from the wide assortment of paints it keeps on hand.

To help speed up repair times, Volvo Trucks is introducing "quick response" or QR codes that are placed on a truck's door. Those codes can be scanned by tablet computers or smart phones and can contain all kinds of information, such as model number, mileage, etc.
