Nacarato's unique "phone room" employee 5 full-time workers, each of whom is dedicated to a specific region and set of accounts. That's so customer calls don't go to "just anyone," dealership executives explained, but rather to a person they know on a first name basis.

Nacarato keeps $2 million worth of parts inventory in its two-level storage area within the dealership's main 80,000 sq. ft. building, which also houses its main service area.

To help speed up repair times, Volvo Trucks is introducing "quick response" or QR codes that are placed on a truck's door. Those codes can be scanned by tablet computers or smart phones and can contain all kinds of information, such as model number, mileage, etc.
