Duraturn lineup includes range of tires SmartWay-certified for low rolling resistance

China Manufacturers Alliance (CMA) has announced a new brand of consumer and commercial tires. The announcement was made last week at the International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC).

For commercial customers, the company will offer Duraturn TBR tires in all applications with over 85 SKUs available including models in steer, drive, trailer, and mixed service tires.

The company’s Duraturn DS28 in the steer position, DA20 in both steer and drive positions and the DT22 in the trailer tire position have all been certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Technology Program as low-rolling resistance products.

“Being a part of the EPA SmartWay program is our overall commitment to reducing emissions and providing our customers with optimum fuel savings,” said Aaron C. Murphy, vice president of CMA. “In addition, it shows the technological advances that Duraturn tires exhibit and we are working to release additional models into this line-up.”

The company also unveiled a number of consumer tires, including the Mozzo line of all-season high performance and touring tires currently with 26 sizes in T, H, V and W ratings. The Mozzo STX sport truck line will include sizes up to 26 in. rim diameters. The Travia line of LT/SUV tires will be introduced in the near future with highway, all terrain and mud terrain models. Additionally, Duraturn ST Radial tires are designed for unique recreational trailer applications.

Winter tires are also planned for a 2015 introduction.

“With modern tread designs and popular sizes, Duraturn tires being developed have been designed to meet the needs of independent tire dealers across North America,” said Ken Coltrane, vice president of Consumer Tires for CMA. “As the program continues to develop over the next year, it will grow to include more than 200 SKUs across multiple product lines that can all be mixed for easier ordering.”

CMA manufactures and markets tires under a number of brands, including Double Coin.
