A new aftermarket back-up alarm is being offered by Alliance Truck Parts, the aftermarket parts provider of Daimler Trucks North America.

The alarm conforms to SAEJ994 standards and can be used on any vehicle that requires a back-up alarm, Alliance said.

“Our new back-up alarm is a simple necessity for many trucks on the road today,” said Daniel Haggerty, director of parts marketing for Daimler Trucks North America. “Federal job safety rules require a backup alarm for vocational applications including construction, agricultural and for most government-owned vehicles.”

The alarm offers waterproof construction with ABS plastic to withstand pressure washing and harsh environments. It provides a 97-decible one beep per second alarm.

Measuring just 4-in. wide by 1 5/8 in. deep by 2 ¾ in. high, the device is easy to install with a universal mounting design and rugged stainless steel terminals, according to Alliance.

Alliance offers a one-year unlimited mileage warranty on the product.
