Cummins Inc. has launched a new customer service program offering 24/7 response. Cummins Care is the latest addition to the company’s state-of-the-art customer support operation at the Cummins Customer Support Center in Nashville, TN.

Approximately 110 representatives at the 25,000 sq.-ft. facility are trained to provide the highest level of service, Cummins said. They are prepared to answer questions and assist customers in finding the nearest authorized service center.

“Cummins knows that reliability and uptime are critical to our customers’ success, and we strive to provide dependable service support when they need us most,” said Jim Schacht, executive director – Cummins Business Services.

Cummins U.S. and Canadian service network includes over 3,500 locations.

“We can then help customers find the nearest location that is available to work on the product. Understanding and identifying this scheduling availability of the location increases customer uptime and satisfaction,” added Schacht.

Representatives are trained to handle questions on the latest on- and off-highway engine and product technology, including EPA 2010 and Tier 4 Interim with new ultra-clean aftertreatment systems. They can also handle all operational questions on topics such as fuel and oil specifications and maintenance intervals, Cummins said.

The new hours, which will begin in July 2011, uses the same 1-800-DIESELS phone number.
