State trucking organizations in five states that hold SuperTech competitions will also be offered Service Information Skills Stations from Mitchell 1.
The stations, being offered in Tennessee, California, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, test competitors on their abilities to use online repair information to diagnose and fix maintenance problems they are likely to encounter in their jobs. Mitchell 1 offers the skills testing each year at the Technology and Maintenance Council’s annual SuperTech competition, held in September.
“Each year we increase the number of state competitions we support as more states develop their own SuperTech events,” said Dave Costantino, director of heavy duty market development for Mitchell 1. “As additional states organize these competitions, Mitchell 1 will be happy to support them as well; they simply need to contact us as they start the planning process.”
For 2011, the state skills stations will test competitors using Mitchell 1’s Tractor-Trailer.net program.
