Swift Transportation Co. has reached a three-year agreement with Wabash National Corp. for delivery of DuraPlate HD dry vans over the next three years.
As part of the deal, 3,100 of the units will be delivered in the next twelve months. Wabash said production of those trailers will begin in late March.
“Our goal is to continue to offer our customers the most reliable and efficient equipment, so that they experience outstanding overall performance from Swift Transportation,” said Richard Stocking, president & COO of Swift. “We believe the DuraPlate HD from Wabash National is the best trailer equipment option to help us achieve that goal.”
The DuraPlate HD combines the advantages of an aluminum plate trailer with Wabash’s DuraPlate technology. The trailer includes a heavy-duty base plate, composite sidewall material and 100 5/8 in. interior width.
“Wabash National is proud of our long standing partnership with Swift Transportation,” said Bruce Ewald, sr. vp of sales and marketing for Wabash. “Their choice of Wabash National’s DuraPlate HD once again confirms the quality and performance of this industry leading product.”
