Trail King has unveiled a new modular hydraulic transport system (MHTS), a six-line, 375,000-lb. capacity off-road modular hydraulic trailer. The trailer’s air system is one of its unique features. The system includes drain fittings on each tank and an air dryer. The tanks are easily accessible, promoting easy maintenance access. The stirrups and side plate design are engineered to be compatible for use with existing brands of line trailers.

Also, the steering arms of the MHTS are positioned over “dished” cross members so that they are more easily accessible for repositioning or replacement, Trail King noted. The steering arm mounting bosses are raised, not recessed, to help prevent a buildup of dirt and grime.

A 20-hp, water-cooled self-contained diesel unit powers the hydraulic system, which includes steel hydraulic lines throughout. The externally mounted hydraulic reservoir allows up to 20 lines.

There is a self-locating tow bar with special notches in the tow bar plate that align with the tops of the stirrups for perfect alignment. It is locked in place with an air-activated locking system.

Other features and standard equipment include a 55-deg. maximum steering angle; a hydraulic stirrup pin for easy connect/disconnect to other lines; clearance lights, and brackets for strobe lights, flags, and wide load signs.
