CARB and 49-state APUs

RigMaster Power Corp. is adding two models to its line of auxiliary power units (APUs), one of which is designed for compliance with the stricter California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions rules. Called the T4 model, it features a Tier 4a engine and can be equipped with a DPF for CARB compliance on 2007 or newer trucks, pending final approval.

For vehicles that will not be operating in California, or those that are pre-2007, RigMaster offers the T2 APU, which has a Tier 2 EPA-compliant engine. Both models are available with either a Perkins or Caterpillar engine.
