Cummins revs up the Ram

A Cummins 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel will be a power option for '07 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models beginning in January. The new engine will feature increased displacement over the 5.9-liter engine it will replace, as well as more horsepower (350 hp.) and torque (650 lb.-ft.).

According to Cummins, the 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel also boasts improved combustion with the integration of Variable Geometry Turbocharging for air handling, next generation cooled EGR, an upgraded high pressure common rail fuel system and improved integration of engine and vehicle systems. A new integrated exhaust brake is optional.
