Peterbilt hybrids eligible for tax credit

Peterbilt has announced its Model 335 Class 7 and Model 330 Class 6 hybrid electric trucks are eligible for the federal government’s tax credit of up to $12,000 for heavy-duty hybrids purchased in the U.S.

The Model 335 Hybrid Electric is eligible for the maximum $12,000 credit for Class 7 vehicles in both utility-boom and P&D applications when equipped with a Paccar PX-6 engine and Eaton hybrid system.

The Model 330 Hybrid Electric, when equipped with a Paccar PX-6 engine and Eaton hybrid system is eligible for the maximum credit for Class 6 vehicles, which is $6,000. It also is available for both utility-boom and P&D applications.
