New, reusable plastic bulkhead spacers from Paylode Cargo Protection Systems will help fleets stay in compliance with weight laws and can eliminate shifting, and therefore damage, of cargo, according to the company.

The interlocking spacers are designed to fill the void in the nose end of trailers or containers to properly balance axle weight. When used in both ends of intermodal containers, the spacers can also brace the load, said Paylode.

Engineered to withstand 20,000 lbs. of force, the spacers are CFR 49 compliant and have passed the Association of American Railroads impact tests, the company said.
