Cummins and Eaton announced a partnership to offer a single powertrain option that combines the Eaton Fuller Advantage Series automated transmission with two specific ratings of the new Cummins ISX15 SmartTorque2 engine.

Available in the in the 2013 Paccar data books for commercial vehicles under that OEM’s Kenworth and Peterbilt nameplates, the Pro-40 family of 40,000 lb. tandem drive axles are nearly 100 lbs. lighter than the nearest competitive axle and now offers a new thinner wall version for further weight reductions on select applications, the company said.
