With the SafeRange autonomous maneuvering function, the ZF Innovation Truck 2016 demonstrates how sensors, intelligent electronics and mechatronic systems can optimize processes at transport hubs by networking the vehicle and loading dock.

In the video below, the driver exits the cab and supervises an otherwise blind backing maneuver, with cameras in the loading dock guiding the vehicle safely. The comments are by ZF CEO Dr. Stefan Sommer.

The video is from the ZF Global Press Event, June 29 at the test track of RWTH Aachen University, Aldenhoven, Germany.
