Cellcontrol and Dohrmann Insurance joined forces for a new program to lower commercial insurance premiums and reduce the crashes caused by distracted driving.

Cellcontrol along with Dohrmann Insurance have joined forces for a new program to lower commercial insurance premiums and reduce the crashes caused by distracted driving.

For commercial companies currently utilizing Cellcontrol to keep their drivers safe, and new companies interested in utilizing the platform, Dohrmann noted will cover the cost of activation, while at the same time saving customers up to 30% on their insurance premiums. The program launched June 26.

Cellcontrol’s safe driving platform is available for the iPhone, and it also works on Android and other device platforms. According to the company, the system has protected customers across the globe as they’ve traveled more than 1 billion miles safely and distraction free. The system lowers crash and incident rates by 40-90% based on customer reporting, the company added.

“Even with the huge investments in awareness and education, distracted driving rates and the crashes it causes continues to rise,” said Cellcontrol CEO Robert Guba. “We’re thrilled to work with a partner like Dohrman who recognizes that more needs to be done to stop these statistics, including rewarding positive and preventative risk measures like Cellcontrol,” Guba said.

“We are delighted to work with Cellcontrol, a forward thinking and innovative business like our own.  Fleet operators face increased insurance costs through skyrocketing premiums,” said Dohrmann Insurance CEO Greg Dohrmann. “Cellcontrol and Dohrmann offer an efficient way for the insured to prevent distracted driving and reduce claims which in turn lower insurance premiums.”
