Minnesota to close highway for bridge, painting work

Nov. 9, 2012

The Minnesota Dept. of Transportation announced that Highway 169 in Edina and Eden Prairie will close 169 in both directions from Friday, Nov. 9 through Monday, Nov. 12.

Drivers will encounter delays and a detour as crews completely close the highway between Valley View Rd. and Interstate 494 at 10 p.m. Friday for bridgework and highway striping, according to a report by KARE News, an NBC affiliate.

Posted detours will direct motorists to bypass the closure via Highway 212, Highway 62 and Highway 100.

Access to Eden Prairie Center, local businesses and neighborhoods adjacent to the Highway 169/I-494 interchange will remain open and available during the closure.

Highway 169 and all affected ramps should reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
