Registration open for ATA Management Conference & Exhibition

Registration is now open for the American Trucking Assns. (ATA) annual Management Conference & Exhibition (MC&E), scheduled for Oct. 19-22, 2013, in Orlando, FL, at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

“Last year’s MC&E was the best attended this century,” said Bill Graves, ATA president and CEO, “and I expect this year’s program to be just as informative and productive for ATA’s members and exhibitors.”

The event begins with the annual golf tournament to benefit the ATA Insurance Task Force and highlighted by the first-time attendees orientation and chairman’s membership committee social.

The conference’s first full day features the “All Eyes on the Economy” luncheon and general session and the opening of the ATA Exhibit Hall, where attendees can review the latest advances in truck safety, sustainability and productivity.

Day two leads off with Graves’ annual “State of the Industry” address followed by a humor-filled presentation by Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and satirist Dave Barry. Speakers include former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at the Advocacy and Government Affairs Luncheon, and the day finishes with ATA’s educational sessions, this year focusing on trucking technology, legal issues, industry advocacy and government regulations' impact on the bottom line. 

The conference’s final day is highlighted by the ATA Banquet, featuring entertainment by the best-selling comedian of all time Jeff Foxworthy.
