Ten Kenworth liquefied natural gas (LNG) trucks were featured during ceremonies at the grand opening of Clean Energy Fuels Corp.’s fueling station in Southern California.
According to Kenworth, the vehicles will be the first T800 LNG trucks to operate at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach when they go into service.
The T800s are powered by a Cummins ISX 15-liter engine equipped with a Westport Innovations LNG fuel system, which reduces emissions and relies less on diesel fuel, the company said.
