European logistics provider Unipart Logistics Limited has formed a “preferred partnership” to market the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based supply chain system developed by Savi Technology to commercial customers in Europe.
The deal allows Unipart Logistics to sell and implement Mountainview, CA-based Savi’s products, services and solutions to commercial customers in Europe, especially in the automotive sector, while also giving Unipart the right to rebrand Savi’s products into its own logistics offerings, with the caveat that it be described as “Powered by Savi.”
In turn, Unipart Logistics will provide supply chain expertise to enhance the value of their RFID solutions to customers, said Bruce Jacquemard, Savi’s managing director of international business, while Savi provides technical training and strategic counsel as they jointly pursue projects that leverage their combined logistics and technology strengths.
“We recognize that the strengths of partners such as Unipart are essential to our strategy in international markets,” Jacquemard said. “Partnering with Unipart enables us to pursue new commercial market opportunities in the U.K. and Europe.”
