Panasonic introduces Toughbook 19 upgrade

Panasonic Computer Solutions Co. has introduced upgrades, including a Core 2 Duo processor and expanded memory capabilities, to its Panasonic Toughbook 19 convertible tablet computer, the company said.

The 5.1 lb. Toughbook 19 incorporates magnesium alloy cases, sealed keyboards and ports, hard drive heaters, flexible internal connections and shock mounting, Panasonic said.

According to the company, the Toughbook also includes an anti-glare, anti-reflective sunlight viewable display as well as WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS wireless.

The PC delivers seven hours of battery life and is dust- and water-resistant--tested for extreme conditions such as drops, shocks, vibration, humidity, altitude and temperature extremes, Panasonic said.
