As the 2008 Capitol Christmas Tree travels from Bitterroot National Forest in Hamilton, MT to Washington, DC, the public can track its exact location online thanks to a mobile tracking unit installed by Skybitz.

As the 60-ft. tree traverses the country on an extendable flatbed trailer designed by Fontaine Trailer Co. and driven by a team from National Van Lines, the location of the trailer will be accessible at once it leaves Hamilton on November 4.

The Capitol Christmas Tree will travel through Butte and Billings, MT; Fargo, ND; Branson, MO; St. Louis; Broadview, IL, and Wheeling, W.Va. before reaching the U.S. Capitol Building on November 23. The lighting ceremony is scheduled for December 2.
