A full-length cargo sensor is now available on both the satellite and cellular platforms GE's VeriWise trailer tracking system. The trailer leasing and maintenance company has also announce the launch of the next generation web-user interface for the system‥
GE's full-length cargo sensor, which covers up to the length of a 53-ft trailer, is now available on both its original VeriWise satellite-based system as well as the cellular-based tracking system recently acquired from Terion. “Our patented full-length sensor will help reduce bobtail miles, streamline the scheduling process, and identify and eliminate the unauthorized use of trailers,” says Thomas Konditi, president & CEO of GE's Asset Intelligence division.
The new VeriWise web user interface is an upgrade that takes advantage of the latest asset intelligence technology, according to Konditi. He says the web interface identifies problems and ranks trailers, issues and “landmarks” (locations determined by the user) based on user-defined criteria in real time and then actively presents relevant information to each user.
Key features of the VeriWise web site include: customizable dashboard, email reports, feature-rich mapping and landmarking, remote security “lockdowns” of trailers, and interfaces with major dispatch applications.
