Idaho, Montana add e-manifests

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that effective August 6, truck carriers entering the country through Idaho and Montana will be required to file electronic manifests through the Automated Commercial environment (ACE) truck manifest system.

Filing e-manifests is now required at all southern land border ports of entry. On May 24, the requirement will take effect in Michigan and New York. It will be effective in Vermont, New Hampshire and the ports of St. John, Fortuna, Ambrose, Carbury, Noonan, Dunseith, Sherwood, Antler, Northgate, Westhope and Portal in the state of North Dakota on July 12.
