General Motors Allison Transmission has introduced seven new transmission series designed for vocational truck applications: the highway series (HS), rugged duty series (RDS), pupil transportation/shuttle series (PTS), emergency vehicle series (EVS), truck recreational vehicle series (TRV), motor home series (MHS), and bus series (BUS).
Allison says its new transmissions offer extended torque range, higher GVW capacity, and more advanced electronic controls to match the output of today's higher horsepower engines.
