Brake lining on a budget
Carlisle Motion Control Industries introduced an economy-grade brake lining, the EC-20. Designed for use with S-cam air brakes on trucks, tractors and trailers operating in general freight and on-highway applications, EC-20 is the company's lowest-price brake lining.
The new lining, which is asbestos-free, meets the requirements of FMVSS #121 dynamometer test standards. Tests were conducted with a 20,000 lb. axle load using a 16.5-in. × 7-in. S-cam air brake, 30×5.5-in. input power and a 20.8-in. tire rolling radius.
