Three new on-highway truck engine ratings for the Caterpillar 3126B meet the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) certification. The EPA's Clean Fuel Fleet Vehicle Program will require fleets operating in designated non-attainment areas to run a certain percentage of trucks with LEV certification.

The new LEV ratings of the 3126B are 207-, 216-, and 230 hp., all producing a peak torque of 520 lb.-ft. at 1,400 rpm and governed at 2,500 rpm. Combining Cat's ADEM 2000 electronic fuel controls with advanced diesel engine design and emissions technology, all three ratings are compatible with Allison AT545, 1000 Series, and 2000 Series automatic transmissions, as well as manual transmissions, according to the company.

Caterpillar's Truck Engine Div. has also launched a new Web site (www.cattruckengines.com) providing a central source of information for products, parts, service, news, special events, and even used truck availability.

Truck-Lite's new Lifetime Harness and Light System Warranty announced at the recent Mid-America Trucking Show applies to all vehicles equipped with Truck-Lite's LED Lifetime Lighting products using Sure Seal connectors and harnessed with its Series 88 Plug Together sealed electrical system.
