• Cirillo to retire

    Julie A. Cirillo, Chief Safety Officer of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, will retire by year's end. Cirillo had served for 21 years at the Federal Highway Administration prior to becoming acting FMCSA administrator in early 2000 when the agency was established. In 1999 she had been named to head the Office of Motor Carrier Safety, FMCSA's predecessor.
