Driver's job site upgraded

TransCore's online driver recruitment center, Driverlink (www.driverlink.com), has been upgraded to include automatic email alerts for both drivers and carriers.

The website was launched in 2000, offering drivers an online tool for posting resumes and receiving job leads from fleets.

Fleets pay a monthly subscription fee to post an unlimited number of job openings and to search for drivers that meet their needs. There is no charge for job-seeking drivers and owner-operators, who are asked to fill out an online resume using a simple wizard.

The new email alerts will quickly let drivers know when jobs fitting their requirements are posted, and can also be set to tell fleets when suitable drivers are looking for work.

Other new features for the site include information on weather and traffic conditions, and a section for drivers' families and children. Future drivers can also use Driverlink to find details on truck-driving training schools.
