Developed for shippers using multiple transportation modes, OptiManage 7 is a Web-based, real-time management system for both transportation planning and execution. The new ASP system dynamically monitors freight flow, making real-time adjustments to routing, according to developer Logistics.com.
Advanced features for OptiManage 7 include intelligent freight monitoring, SKU-level electronic data interchange (EDI), and web-based tracking. The online service is also said to be able to handle exceptions such as changes in destinations automatically without manual intervention.
Order management, load optimization, carrier selection and tendering, automated payment and auditing, and other more standard transportation management features are also provided by the online system.
