Bergstrom has updated its no-idle climate control system with the ability to increase cooling capacity by 30% while using less battery power, the company says.

The NITE Plus system includes a rechargeable battery system supplying electricity to a hermetically sealed air-conditioning unit and auxiliary heater and is able to increase cooling thanks to updated heat exchangers and a redesigned airflow.

“NITE Plus will keep drivers cooler and run longer,” says Terry Zeigler, vp of electrified systems at Bergstrom. “The result is a more efficient system that will help make drivers' lives more comfortable while they're on the road.”

The CARB-approved unit meets all idle restriction laws. It is available as a factory-installed option on Freightliner Cascadia and International ProStar and LoneStar models.
