Today, former Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Deputy Administrator Warren Hoemann assumed the American Trucking Assns. post of senior vp. He is responsible for overseeing the organization’s seven councils and conferences.

“Our members and ATA have enjoyed a solid working relationship with Warren throughout the years and most recently as Deputy Administrator and Acting Administrator for FMCSA,” said Bill Graves, ATA president & CEO. “In this new position, Warren will provide leadership and greater visibility to the important work of our councils and conferences.”

Former Dept. of Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta appointed Hoemann to FMCSA Chief Counsel in March 2003 and in August 2003 he was named Deputy Administrator upon the confirmation of Administrator Annette Sandberg.

Before that he served as vp of the California Trucking Assn. Prior to working with CTA, he was the vp—government relations for Yellow Corp.
