BBTS truck and bus sales president to retire

Singh Ahluwalia, president of truck and bus sales for Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), will retire effective March 1, 2009

Singh Ahluwalia, president of truck and bus sales for Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), will retire effective March 1, 2009. Ahluwalia will be succeeded by Kurt Danielson, vp of marketing for BBTS, who will assume Ahluwalia’s duties and move into the position of vp of sales & marketing for BBTS effective November 1, 2008.

Ahluwalia joined the company, then known as Bridgestone U.S.A., in 1977 as a marketing analyst. He worked in product sales, advertising, marketing and motorsports before being named director of corporate commercial accounts in 1993 and later promoted to vp of truck tire sales and then president of truck tire sales.

Danielson began with then-Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. in 1994, working as a district sales manager, sales manager and executive director of marketing before assuming the role of vp of marketing in 2006. In his new role, he will be responsible for all truck tire marketing and sales activities for new tires and retreads.
