FleetOwner announces new managing editor

Brian Straight has joined FleetOwner as managing editor. Straight, who is based at publication headquarters in Stamford CT, will be responsible for copyediting and coordinating the magazine’s editorial activities

Brian Straight has joined FleetOwner as managing editor. Straight, who is based at publication headquarters in Stamford CT, will be responsible for copyediting and coordinating the magazine’s editorial activities and will also write for the magazine and fleetowner.com.

A Rhode Island native and journalism graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Straight is a veteran and accomplished newspaper reporter and editor in his adopted state of Connecticut. He served most recently as the managing editor of The Herald, a daily serving New Britain, CT, and then as the executive sports editor for the Journal Register Co. where he was responsible for the sports sections of three daily and eleven weekly newspapers covering central Connecticut.

Marilyn Wilson, who recently retired from the publication, held the managing editor position for the past 20 years.
