FreightScan, LLC has named Melih Sindel vp of engineering. Sindel will be responsible for all FreightScan engineering and product development, the company said.

“Part of my initial focus is to transform our leading edge cargo dimming and security based systems into intelligent expert systems,” said Sindel. “These highly functional, self-diagnosing systems will be even more robust and informative than today’s systems, resulting in higher ROI for our customers. Over the next 12 months we will be introducing an array of innovative solutions for every segment of the industry.”

Sindel has more than 20 years of experience in management and product development, most recently serving as vp of new product development for W&W Communications. He also previously held engineering positions at Thomson, LinCom and DSP Research.
