Fleets have saved $1-billion with PrePass

Founded in 1995, the electronic bypass system PrePass has now saved participating motor carriers $1-billion, according to the organization. The system is currently operational at 263 locations in 26 states and has enrolled over 360,000 trucks.

The $1-billion savings estimate is based on reductions in fuel consumption, as well as time savings for drivers and equipment and other industry operating cost reductions that come from electronically clearing weigh stations and other inspection facilities without stopping.
