    Landstar has created Landstar Global Logistics, a subsidiary that will provide ocean and air freight forwarding, intermodal, multimodal, and expedited air and ground transportation. In addition, warehousing capabilities will be expanded in 2006.

    UPS is enhancing its Trade Direct service to better combine cross-border movement of freight and packages in an effort to reduce or even eliminate expensive warehousing costs. Customers can now use a common computer applicaton to process freight and package shipments, and track them across all modes via www.ups.com
